Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea just released their new song "Pretty Girls" after teasing it on Instagram and Twitter for way too long. Their social media campaign to make this the song of the summer was almost as subtle as Brad Pitt's affair with Angelina Jolie (read: not at all).
"Pretty Girls" is a lyrical disaster, so you'll be able to memorize the words in about a week. Unlike Fancy, that's not going to be something you brag about. The song is about pretty girls getting free shit and attention aka a casual Thursday. But the execution is fairly sub-par. T-Pain is jealous of the amount of auto-tune and Daft Punk is embarrassed this is what EDM has become.
That being said, it's catchy as fuck. The first and second time you listen to it, it sounds like Danity Kane on crack. But by the fourth listen, it becomes the fucking jam. Well done Britney and Iggy - making shitty music that we can't resist.
