Much like the girl who does a sober month, Cara Delevingne fell off the radar after Suicide Squad. Turns out there is more to acting than being really really ridiculously good looking. But before that disastrous film and her premature retirement from modeling, Cara was everywhere. She was in every fashion show, magazine, and Kendall Jenner Instagram. Much like Janis Ian post-middle school, Cara is reinventing herself. So, what can we expect from the model-turned-actress-turned-designer-turned-enchantress? And where tf has she been? There's no way she's supporting herself on just Suicide Squad money. Though, come to think of it, they did win an Oscar.
Well, as it turns out, the bitch is back with a young adult novel entitled Mirror, Mirror.
Another pinch me moment!! Announcing my first novel Mirror, Mirror, coming out this October! SO EXCITED !!! Mirror, Mirror is a twisty coming-of-age story about sixteen year old friends Red, Leo, Naima and Rose who are all trying to figure out who they are and navigate the minefield of school and relationships. Until it all changes one day… (que scary music ) I love these characters so much, I love what they stand for, what this story represents. The process of putting this novel together has been life changing and something I hold really close to my heart!! I cannot wait to share with everyone! You can pre-order Mirror, Mirror now by clicking on the link in my bio… lets start one big virtual book club!!! Cause I want us to talk about this time in life, self discovery, friendship, pain, triumph!! Being a teenager!! The experiences that shape YOU! #MirrorMirror
As in mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the prettiest Chanel model of them all?
She announced the book in the above Insta and says it's about a group of teenagers "trying to figure out who they are and navigate the minefield of school and relationships. Until it all changes one day." So, kudos to whoever ghost wrote this masterpeice for following the same plot of every other fantasy YA novel ever written. I'll bet anything that the protagonist of this piece has a crush on someone, but they can't be together for some reason, probably because one of them is a vampire or a werewolf or some shit. Either that or somebody dies of cancer. Maybe something about a wizard school? Idk.
This is probably a good time to remind you that Cara is not the first starlette to get into the YA novel game. Kendall and Kylie also have their own YA novel, Rebels: City of Indra, which boasts a whopping 2.5 stars on Amazon. Honestly impressive considering Kylie never went to real school.
Cara's book won't come out until October, but you can preorder on Amazon now. Or like, wait until your 12-year-old cousin reads it and just ask her how bad it is.
