So we've heard all about selfies killing people, but now the tables have turned. Apparently a couple decided to make like Reese Witherspoon and hike in the mountains, but got lost because all mountains look the same. We can say that, we grew up on a mountain. Anyways, when the rescue team was like, "wait where are you???" The couple was like, "But first, let me take a selfie."
And just like that, the rescue team saw the selfie and was like, "I know that corner of nature!" and located the couple. As much as a 127 Hours weekend would have probably brought the couple closer together, they didn't have to stay stranded in the cliff, thanks to the wonders of modern technology.
But what if there's no service? Easy, just don't get lost. Or um, bring a dog. Or something. Well, it's unclear whether the fact that the picture was a selfie actually had anything to do with the location—I mean technically it could have just been a picture of the surrounding mountains and it would've worked, right? But, for the sake of this story, we're going to assume that the distance of arm to face in a selfie shot somehow factored into the location coordinates or something advanced like that.
