For the past four months I’ve been texting this really nice, funny, hot and all around perfect guy. Things were going great over Thanksgiving and Christmas break and he would even call me and fall asleep on the phone with me. But recently, he has slowed down texting me and stopped calling me at night. He has just become so distant that I know he wants to stop talking to me. But being the Betch that I am, I can’t have him take the last stand. So I’ve been wanting to tell him that I’m really busy and don’t have time to be waiting around for him to figure out if he likes me or not.
Is there any way to tell him that I still like him, but if he doesn’t figure out what he wants that I’ll figure it out for the both of us and just end this game all together? Don’t get me wrong, I really like him, but I just want to speed up this process.
P.S. Is it bad that I’m just looking for a way to threaten him into being with me without sounding like an asylum patient?
All I Want Is a Valentine
Dear All I Want is A Valentine,
You have way bigger issues than figuring out how to have the last word with a guy who doesn't give a shit about you. Seriously, is this how low the bar is for 'relationships' these days? A guy you've been texting for a few months is calling you less frequently? What actual betch would waste her time talking long distance to a guy who isn't her boyfriend and is pulling away. He's just not that into you. Don't tell him you still like him. Don't tell him to figure out his feelings. He's figured them out. He's bored of speaking to you or has found someone who he lives around to 'speak to'/text/have actual real life encounters with. Having respect for yourself means not giving the time of day to people who don't show genuine interest in wanting to be with you. If this guy doesn't like you enough to show you he's really interested then just stop responding to him. It's as simple as that. Don't be a loser who wastes time coming up with ways to threaten him into being with you. You say you want to tell him that you're "really busy and don’t have time to be waiting around for him to figure out if he likes me or not." You know what the best way of saying that is? Not saying it because you're too busy to fucking say it.
What's the best case scenario in this situation? You scare him into calling you more often? You get to be the one to share your feelings and end something that never even existed? Sounds like a waste of time that could be better spent meeting someone who's actually around.
Stop being so pathetic by pining over a guy who's never shown you he's worth your mental energy. Desperate is a bad color on everyone.
