George Clooney got The Daily Mail to retract a story saying his fiance's mother was opposed their marriage because he isn't a religion called Druze. Basically, George wrote an op-ed in USA Today saying the story is false and the Daily Mail sucks because they're starting shit and while starting shit is typical, this time they crossed the line because they could be inciting religious hate crimes where no such issues would have occured otherwise.
To quote, George says:
But this lie involves larger issues. The irresponsibility, in this day and age, to exploit religious differences where none exist, is at the very least negligent and more appropriately dangerous. We have family members all over the world, and the idea that someone would inflame any part of that world for the sole reason of selling papers should be criminal.
You tell them George! Following the article, The Daily Mail apologized and took down the article. Check out the video for the full story. Sorry Daily Mail but you're a mean girl, you're a bitch!
