Rose Quartz and Serenity are the Pantone Colors of the Year for 2016. For us normal people, Rose Quartz is like a dusty pink and Serenity is a light, powdery blue.
They're pretty, just like, oddly named.
Anyway, if you want to be super hip this year, here are a few ways you can bring these colors into your life and make them your betch.
In your daily look. You can find Rose Quartz and Serenity in almost every clothing retailer you walk into. Designers like Ted Baker and Carolina Herrera are featuring the colors in their Spring collections, and the fine people at Sephora have used these two colors to create make-up palettes.
In your wedding. When you plan a wedding, you can basically make your bridesmaids wear any color you want. You can also pretty much wear any color you want to, and Rose Quartz makes for a sophisticated wedding gown. If you dig these 2016 Colors of the Year and you're getting married this year, you can use these colors in a number of ways. From dyed flowers to your invitations and ceremony/reception decor, Rose Quartz and Serenity are basically the wedding colors from God.
In your apartment. Or bedroom, where ever you spend the most time. You can find bed spreads, sheets, paint color, curtains, and other shit for your bedroom in these gorge shades.
In your appliances. Kitchen-Aid and Kuerig are capitalizing on the two colors. You can now purchase coffee mugs in Serenity and a single-serve Keurig in Rose Quartz (because it just makes sense).
The people at Pantone say that forecasting colors is tricky, but like, don't people just start buying these hues because Pantone says they're cool? It's like when Regina George started wearing army pants and flip-flops, so I bought army pants and flip-flops.
