The Obamas have been traveling for the past couple of weeks, and Michelle and Barack stopped in England last week to visit their close personal friends, the British Royal Family. Meanwhile, I rolled through to work with sunglasses, a venti cold brew, and no motivation.
Barack and Michelle spent the day with the Queen and Prince Philip and then had dinner with Prince William, Prince Harry, and Kate Middleton. I'll assume my invitation was lost in the mail. Besides just being an incredibly attractive group of people having a casual evening together at Kensington Palace with the world's most eligible bachelor and the leader of the free world, it was also the cutest dinner party ever because Prince George made a guest appearance.
ICYMI, Prince George is two years old, third in line to the British throne, and dresses like a Goldman intern on casual Friday. But his greatest accomplishment is distracting me from Kate Middleton's life changing blowout. Well last Friday, Kate and Will extended George's bedtime by 15 minutes, so that he could meet President and Mrs. Obama. That seems like a pretty legit reason to stay up a little bit late on a weekend.
George wore a pajama set, personalized white bathrobe, and house slippers to greet President Obama, and showed Barack and Michelle how well he can ride the rocking horse they gave him when he was born. Same. All in all, this was a 9/10 on the Royal cute scale. It's definitely cuter than Kate and Will's balcony kiss, but not as cute as the photo of George kissing Charlotte.
