Nerds everywhere flocked to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens this weekend. There were laughs, there were tears, and there were record setting numbers. This wasn't hard to achieve, considering the massive fan base the movie's had since 1977, and the other crap playing in theaters this weekend - I mean, Alvin and the Chipmunks.
The latest installment of the Star Wars saga brought in an estimated $238 million during it's opening weekend, which beat other nerdy films like Jurassic World ($208.8 million) and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey ($84.6 million).
Internationally, the movie pulled in another $279 million giving the movie a grand total of $517 million, making me seriously reconsider my career path.
