In a sick twist of fate, it is no longer a perfect 77 degrees outside. And while I'm experiencing emotional distress from something doctors and specialists (i.e. my yoga teacher) call "sweat," I'm enjoying the fact that being too hot gives me an excuse to not move. I'm also enjoying the fact that I get to clean out my closet/makeup bag and replace my haggardly spring 2016 items with summer ones. I live for a change. New temperatures, new me, new you, new us.
Speaking of you (annoying, why?), here's what you should have in your makeup bag for these impending summer months. Because if you don't have a setting spray on hand at all times, you're dead to me.
First of all, this is limited edition so you kind of have to buy it now, and second of all, it comes with the prettiest highlighter and blush shades that work on your cheeks and in your eyelids. Summer 2016, we are all about that highlighter/strobe life.
A good friend of mine once said that using this product is like "killing one bird with two stones." Obviously she's a fucking idiot and got the saying wrong, but you get the sentiment. Why have several different products (foundation, moisturizer, sunscreen) when you can just have one product that does everything?
This spray will make your face matte, set your makeup, control your oily skin (vomit) and protect you from those super rude cancer-causing UV rays.
A felt-tip lip stain that doesn't make it look like you tried super hard and doesn't leave heinous melted lipstick residue everywhere. Win-win.
This salve literally does everything except for change your oil and love you back. Use it as a lip balm, use it on your cuticles, use it on the top of your cheekbones to add a highlight, or use it over your lids to glossify any eyeshadow.
A water-resistant brow gel that creates fuller, more defined brows without looking fake and disgusting. Which is an ideal scenario for brows.
