So we all know that fake tanning is shitty for your skin. Even if you don't look like an Oompa Loompa or Lindsay Lohan circa 2008, tanning beds can give you skin cancer. But like, there's nothing worse than being Kristen Stewart pale at prom. So we all make sacrifices. Marissa Cooper didn't just give us an unrealistic body image, but an unrealistic tanning goal - constantly sun-kissed.
Well the Food and Drug Administration is about to ruin high school proms and bat mitzvahs everywhere by making it illegal for people under 18 years old to use a tanning bed or sun lamp. The fun-sucker in charge of the FDA says that the ban "is intended to help protect young people form a known and preventable cause of skin cancer and other harms." So betches under 18 will have two choices: use their fake to get into a tanning bed or start using tanning lotion.
