Yes you read that title right, the texting
trend way of life is on the way out. We shit you not.
According to some study (by Deloitte) in some country (Britain) that we read about on some site (Jezebel),"The trend began in the US and is now spreading worldwide. The report claims that 160bn instant messages were sent in Britain last year, outstripping the number of texts for the first time. By the end of 2014, 300bn instant messages will be sent – more than twice the annual number of texts."
But don't worry, it's not like we're going back to the days of morse code or like, actual phone calls. What this study classifies as "texts" are actually only SMS and I mean, I send like 10 of those a year. Between iMessage, Snapchat, Facebook chat, instagram commentary, group chats, WhatsApp (for #3 abroad duh), and in-fucking-person conversations, who even has the time for actual texts. The only SMS texts I send are to the two weirdos I know who have droids. And if thats the reason behind the text decline, then we can all be proud of ourselves for outcasting the droids.
