America's Next Top Model ended after 22 seasons of girls crying over shitty makeovers and Miss J being shady af. Obvi I haven't watched since middle school, but Tyra Banks still thinks the show is relevant. ANTM did give the world some of the most iconic quotes of the 2000s - "This is not America's Next Top Best Friend" - but after Whitney won Cycle 10, the whole thing collapsed.
Anyway, Tyra Banks was discussing
the end of the show and said "If you think about Kendall and Kylie [Jenner] - people think Kylie's not a model, but I think she's a model - and Gigi [Hadid] and all of these girls from reality television, I think Top Model knocked the doors down for that to be okay in the high fashion world."
Like that or fitting into a sample size.
Is her argument that celebrity models are accepted now in high fashion because one time she made the girls pose in a giant bowl of salad? Come on Tyra, I was rooting for you, we were all rooting for you, but like stay in your lane.
