How To Change Up Your Makeup Bag For Spring (Yes, It's Necessary)

By Betch Du Jour

Spring is synonymous with cleaning, which is synonymous with working hard, which is synonymous with NO. Unfortunately, your house/life/liver aren't the only things that require a reset come March 20th. Your makeup bag is in need of a revamp. So don't be fucking lazy and just do it already. OK, here's how.

Switch From Foundation To Tinted Moisturizer

Your matte foundation just isn't going to cut it in the springtime. No one wants to see it slide down you face. That sounds actually revolting, so swap it out for something like Bobbi Brown's Nude Finish Tinted Moisturizer.

Use Cream Blush Instead Of Powder

The powdery finish of your regular blush won't do you any favors when you are trying to have luminous, spring-like skin. Use cream blush instead for a dewy, seasonally appropriate face. I personally recommend the Butter London Cheeky Cream Blushes and Illamasqua Cream Blushers.

Opt For Cream Eyeshadow/Eyeshadow Sticks

Why would you waste time with a primer and eyeshadow when you could just have one product that accomplishes both tasks? These eyeshadow sticks from NARS are super easy to apply quickly in the morning when you're hands won't stop shaking from your hangover. The shade "Iraklion" specifically is a rose/taupe that will make you feel fulfilled in ways that a material object probably shouldn't, but whatever.

Incorporate More Color On Your Lips

The drab nudes and earthy tones you relied on for winter are so boring and trust, we're all over them on you. Try out something vibrant on your lips like Chanel's Rouge Coco Shine in Shipshape (a vibrant tangerine hue) or KAT VON D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Soft Coral
