Being a little bit of a wicked witch apparently pays off, because this week the Broadway production of Wicked passed the billion dollar mark in ticket sales. The show opened in October 2003, which makes it the fastest Broadway show to make it to a billion. To be fair, only two other shows (The Lion King and Phantom of the Opera) have ever made a billion, so like, sucks for everyone else. Combined with touring productions, Wicked’s ticket sales are almost 4 billion.
Adele Dazeem Idina Menzel must be cackling in a bathtub full of cash that she made from iTunes downloads of "Defying Gravity" and "Let it Go". Kristin Chenoweth is probably happy too, but her biggest concern is still finding shoes that make her look like a normal person height.
