Xanax Is Sending People To The ER

Belfie is the new selfie

For a while now, there’s been an interesting fitspo phenomenon on Instagram. I’m talking about the “belfie” aka the “butt selfie.” New York’s Jen Selter considers herself to be one of Insta’s “belfie” stars thanks to her many hours at the gym and the thousands of squats and lunges she did to get such a photogenic rear. “I started posting motivating fitness pictures and quotes that got me up and wanting to work out,” she told PEOPLE, “When I randomly added a photo of my own body, I saw a lot of likes." That “randomly” added photo then “randomly” led to Selter gaining 3.2 million Insta followers, a few deals with fitness brands, and a spot on PEOPLE’s list of Hollywood’s most talked about bodies. There you have it, betches. Take a good enough shot of your ass and it can literally become famous. Just remember, if you’re gonna Photoshop, make sure you’re better at it than Beyoncé. Xanax is sending people to the ER

Xanax-related ER visits have more than doubled in the past 6 years, according to a new report by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. While doctors have been cracking down on opiate abuse, Xanax abuse is on the rise since it’s still pretty easy to gain a script by claiming you have like, SUCH bad anxiety. Gaining a xanny script is so easy, in fact, that it was the most commonly prescribed psychiatric medication in 2011 and is seen as the “go-to anti-anxiety drug” for physicians. What usually leads people to the ER, reports say, is when people are dumb enough to combine Xanax with other sedatives like alcohol or prescription painkillers (which, in case you weren’t aware, can fucking kill you). Seriously, do not abuse Xanny, betches. You might have anxiety, but nothing is a bigger party foul than an ER visit or, you know, not being alive. Read article >>

World’s oldest man shares his secret to longevity

At 111 years old, NYC’s Dr. Alexander Imich is the oldest man in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records. His secret: always pursue what you love and are passionate about. Obviously, Imich also has good genes and has always lived a pretty healthy lifestyle. If you want to live to 100 studies have shown that a) you need to be genetically blessed (and not just in the looks department), and b) you should get regular exercise and eat a healthy diet (one that’s rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole gains and low red meat and processed carbs). But, back to that whole “passion” thing.  Imich is basically saying that if I have a passion for shopping and afternoon naps I should pursue it, right? I’ll pursue my passion for Louboutin shoes. There we go. I’ll live to 100. Problem Solved. Read article >>
