Name a more iconic duo than Brenda Song and Kate Hudson… lol, trick question. The Suite Life of Zack & Cody star and the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days queen are joining forces in Mindy Kaling’s new Netflix sports comedy, Running Point. Brenda plays the chief of staff to Kate’s team president, and as a stan of both of these girlies, I’m confident that I’m gonna binge this in an unhealthy amount of time. I’m entering my sports era just for them.

When presented with a headless shot of Pete Davidson’s recent Reformation ad campaign, Brenda and Kate were stumped but determined to identify the male celeb. “Jeremy Allen White!” Kate guessed, mistaking the photo of Pete for Jeremy’s gorgeous, iconic Calvin Klein campaign. Brenda threw out Mark Wahlberg, which was also extremely incorrect. Still, Kate wasn’t ready to give up: “No, no, no. C’mon, Brenda. Let’s get this.” She analyzed the photo more, observing, “He’s got a longer upper thigh. That’s not… No, Jake Gyllenhaal’s thighs are bigger.” FBI-level work right there.

When they were given the answer, Kate gushed about Pete, calling him “funny and hot.” Brenda added that he’s “crazy tall” and Kate smirked. “Ya know what else we heard,” she teased. (Throwback to the Ariana/Pete engagement x BDE era.)

Brenda and Kate are certified Beyhive members — they were very familiar with the meme gold photo of Beyoncé right after she won the best country album grammy for Cowboy Carter. When asked about her dream collab, Kate replied, “I’m looking at her right now. Who wouldn’t wanna collab with Beyoncé?” Correct answer. She also mentioned a blues singer named Susan Tedeschi and Bruno Mars, who she said has “one of the great voices of our generation.”

Brenda admitted that her For You is “very boring.” Apparently, it’s “all sports.” That would indeed bore me to tears. Kate called hers “shameful,” which is more relatable. The actress promised that she loves reading and has plenty of interesting hobbies. However, you definitely wouldn’t know that from her For You page. “Apparently, I’m just interested in before and afters, anybody who’s ever threaded their face, Justin Baldini and Blake Lively… and I get a lot of hooded eye makeup tutorials,” she dished. Yes, she did say Justin Baldini with an “i,” which is perfect. So yeah, Kate’s really just like us.

Naturally, we had to give Brenda a quick pop quiz on PRNDL, her magnum opus scene from my childhood addiction, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. “Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive… why can I not think of what L stands for?!” Brenda panicked for a sec. Fortunately, Kate was there to save her and remind her that the L stands for low gear. “Thank god I have Kate,” Brenda said. Thank god for both of these hilarious queens!
