According to Devin, he and Jenn were on friendly terms before “After the Final Rose,” and she just dramatized their situation for TV. Wow, someone should give her an Oscar for all that sobbing if that’s really the case. He also repeatedly emphasized that he put more effort into their relationship than Jenn suggested, and only pulled away after they broke up. “I feel like no matter what I was doing and… no matter how hard I was trying, it wasn’t good enough, no matter how much effort I would put in,” he said about their relationship. “It continued to take an emotional toll on me. At that point, I really did have to make just a decision based on my own happiness.”

But again, a relationship is two people, and that’s part of growing together. You know, I don’t fault her for the feelings that she had towards Marcus, but, you know, I wasn’t informed of that even during our relationship.” He wouldn’t be my first choice either!

I actually don’t even know that this is a fair accusation for him to make, because yes, Jenn told Marcus she loved him, and he didn’t say it back right away. But he eventually did say it back, and Jenn still chose Devin… a decision that I’m sure will haunt her forever.
