Welp, as of October 12, these two have officially called it quits. After six months of dating, they revealed the news on Instagram. Jason posted a story, writing:
“I am sad to share that Kat and I are no longer together. It’s fair to say that I love hard with all my heart and fall fast. Sometimes in life, that works out and other times it doesn’t. This time it didn’t. Kat has brought me so much happiness and light, she brought out parts of me I never knew existed. I will forever be grateful for her and of course, sweet and MK,” referring to Stickler’s 5-year-old daughter, MK. “This chapter closes amicably, and another opens. I’ll be rooting for her happiness and I am also rooting for mine. ❤️🩹”
Kat posted a video about the breakup on her IG story, and said: “So with two back-to-back hurricanes, I obviously didn’t think it was the right time to talk about my personal life. But a lot of you have already guessed and, yes, Jason and I have broken up.” She also said the split was “amicable” and their relationship “just didn’t work.” She went on to say, “I don’t want to talk about it… I understand that with posting a relationship online you also have to show this side, the aftermath — Woohoo, so fun I love this. But I just wanted to tell you guys and it’s not love wasted. I feel like sometimes its so easy to think that when a relationship ends that the love is wasted. But love is never wasted. So, that’s all I have to say.”
Fans had a hunch the week before they officially split when both Kat and Jason pretty abruptly stopped being in each other’s content and commenting on each other’s posts on social. Leave it to the internet to be five steps ahead.
How Long Were Jason Tartick And Kat Stickler Together?
After a few months of dating rumors, Jason and Kat made their relationship Instagram official on June 12. They posted two photos in a joint post with the caption, “heart is full.”
On her page, Kat even shared a video of the two of them brainstorming caption ideas for their hard launch. She threw out ideas like, “secret’s out” and “Kat’s out of the bag.” And less cute options like: “best brother ever,” “keep it in the family,” and “keep the bloodline pure” because, well, they look a lot alike?
Jason and Kat went red carpet official a week later at the American Express Presents Carbone Beach bash in Miami.
In an interview with People, Jason said Kat is “an amazing person, lovely, great mother [and] hilarious content creator,” adding, “I only have incredible things to say about her.”
