If you hear a weird noise, that’s the sound of my stomach flipping and dipping after a rollercoaster season of Summer House. Season nine has had highs (Lindsay telling Carl, “thank you for setting me free to accomplish my dreams” at a “Freedom Dinner”), lows (having to hear Jesse Solomon’s seventeenth Chat GPT apology to another woman) and plenty of loop-dee-loops (Kyle Cooke being the voice of reason???). Now, there are just a few episodes left, and the alliances in the house have seemingly shifted, AGAIN, overnight, like Survivor or some shit. Ciara, Ciara, Ciara… One minute she’s torching her ex (the musatachioed porn analyst) for treating her with disrespect and a lack of a communication, the next she’s facilitating Jesse Solmon doing the same damn thing to Lexi without a care in the world. On the beach, she’s cussing Jesse out for making her look stupid, but then at dinner, she seems to have her guns blazing at Lexi for involving Ciara in her breakup, when Jesse was the one stirring the pot between them?! As a girl’s girl purist, I’m very confused, and I need answers. That’s why I’m getting to the bottom of a burning question: are Jesse and Ciara still friends after Summer House?
Are Jesse and Ciara still friends after Summer House drama with Lexi?
Yes, Ciara and Jesse are still friends because did we really expect either of them to stand on business? Lexi dropped a major bomb (that Jesse was ready to end the friendship because he “disliked” Ciara for how she treated him and West) and made it clear that Jesse was the only reason Lexi had suspicions about Ciara. But, Ciara still chose to side with her blabbermouthed bestie.
Ciara and Jesse have partied together at Coachella, in Miami, and even on the day of Lexi’s birthday party instead of attending, according to Lexi, though Ciara denied it, ICYMI. “Ciara’s just a friend. And she’s becoming a pretty good friend, which is nice,” Jesse told Yahoo. He confirmed that they text, FaceTime, and, ofc, flirt, though they have still never “crossed that line.” Yep, totally normal friend stuff, nothing to see here!
When did Ciara and Jesse make up?
On episode 14 of Summer House, Ciara and Jesse finish their conversation on the beach about why Ciara is “mad or upset” after Jesse made not-funny jokes at Ciara’s expense (because he was “in trouble” with Lexi for “multiple things he was doing wrong”). Do these best buds discuss why in the world two allegedly platonic friends of the opposite sex would feel the need to have physical touch as a core tenet of their relationship in the first place? Sadly, no.
But Jesse does eventually stumble into the point that he could’ve handled “navigating [his] new relationship” better by having a straight-up conversation with Ciara about boundaries. Jesse tells Ciara “people fuck up” and drops his go-to line about wanting to “improve.” So, Ciara accepts his apology and these two are off to the races, overtly flirting (“obviously you can’t handle it”??? girl, come ON) and taking couples selfies again in no time!

No, Jesse and Ciara are still just friends. Flirty friends!! In a recent Instagram story showing a beach hang in Miami, Jesse wrote the caption “Spoiler alert: We’re still friends.” (Hmm, weird Jesse even knew to post that caption considering he told the internet he was staying out of the comments after a totally believable fan encounter.) Honestly, ATP, if we’re going to have to keep hearing about this relationship that never happened, can they just give it a go? I’m bored.
