New celebrity baby name alert! Honestly, is there anything better? Celebs are out here inventing names I didn’t even know were words, let alone something you could call another human. It’s a treat to take in every new birth announcement, and we’ve just been treated to a new one. Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly just revealed their daughter’s name, and I have so many questions.

Okay, first of all, let’s take a moment to remember the glory and head-scratching wonder of Megan and MGK’s relationship. This is a couple whose first kiss wasn’t even a kiss; it was just parting their lips and breathing “each other’s breath.” They used the term “dark fairytale” to describe their love. They performed literal blood rituals together. Megan and MGK were not a traditional couple, to say the least. And although they broke up in November 2024, they continue to be in each other’s lives as co-parents of the baby girl they welcomed in March 2025.

After all the blood-drinking and breath-exchanging, you know Megan and MGK’s baby was not going to have a typical name. And readers, they did not disappoint. Here’s your explainer on Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s baby’s name.

Megan Fox & Machine Gun Kelly’s Baby’s Name, Explained

On June 17, MGK shared an Instagram post of him playing the ukulele for the new baby, along with the big reveal of her name in the caption: Saga Blade. An anonymous source told People, “The name Saga, which means ‘story’ or ‘tale’ really felt right to them. It’s a new chapter — full of meaning and hope.”

Okay, I think I get what they were going for here, but I gotta say, the name really just makes me think of the Twilight Saga. But maybe that could be a plus for them. As far as the baby’s middle name goes, I personally wouldn’t name my daughter after a Marvel comics vampire hunter, but I also wouldn’t drink someone else’s blood. To each their own!

Saga Blade is Megan’s fourth child after her sons Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8, with ex Brian Austin Green. She’s MGK’s second child after his daughter Casie, 15, with his ex Emma Cannon.

That same anonymous source said Megan and MGK have been doing well taking care of baby Saga together. “He’s been great — really trying to be the best dad he can,” they said. “The baby is adorable and Megan’s doing really well.”
