She showed up to the event looking stunning in a chic gray two-piece and an adorable black hat, but the bump is most definitely the star of the outfit. Rihanna already has two sons with A$AP Rocky, RZA Athelston Mayers and Riot Rose Mayers, and I’m sure they’re excited about getting a new sibling!

Frankly, it’s not a real Met Gala without Rihanna — thank god the fashion queen and her unborn baby made it to the gala this year. It’s giving full circle moment because this isn’t the first time Rihanna’s shown off a baby bump at the Met Gala; you may recall she was pregnant and GLOWING at the “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”-themed event in 2023.

In addition to posing for gorgeous photos and announcing her new baby, the icon is also at the Met Gala in support of A$AP, who happens to be one of this year’s official co-chairs for the event. Oh, to be an icon and celebrate your new baby at the most prestigious event of the year.

When Is Rihanna’s Due Date?

Rihanna hasn’t shared that info just yet, but pregnant people typically start showing during the second trimester of pregnancy (roughly between 12 and 16 weeks). That means she’ll probably welcome her new baby sometime this fall.

Over the years, Rihanna has opened up about her experience being a mom. “When you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you can take on the world and do anything,” she said in a February 2023 press conference about performing at the Super Bowl LVII halftime show. “The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world. As scary as that was, because I haven’t been on stage in seven years, there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all.”

During a November 2022 interview with Extra, she gushed about motherhood. “It is crazy. It is amazing. … It’s weird,” Rihanna reflected.” It’s all of those things, all at once.
