You may know Sabrina Carpenter as the girl who has “that me espresso” or the girl who’s always slamming the door and hitting ignore… both fabulous tunes, IMO. The ~short and sweet~ pop princess is really taking over the music industry these days with all her smash hits and brand new Jack Antonoff-produced album, Short n’ Sweet. (And no, SNS is not her sophomore album. It is her sixth album.) However, OG fans like me know that Sabrina was was a booked and busy actress long before she was an A-list pop star. Some of us were introduced to Sab via her Disney Channel show, Girl Meets World, and others began to appreciate her talents after seeing what I believe to be one of the greatest films of our time, Work It. Go watch that ASAP. Actor Sabrina is also known for her roles in The Hate U Give, Emergency, and The Short History of the Long Road.

Sabrina made her acting debut when she was just 11 years old and appeared in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Here’s everything to know about her Law & Order role, plus a clip from the episode!

Sabrina Carpenter’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Episode

Which Law & Order Episode Is Sabrina Carpenter In?

In the twelfth episode of season 12 which was titled “Possessed,” Sabrina guest-starred as Paula, a victim of abuse by a sex trafficking ring. In this clip, her character is being interviewed by Detective Elliot Stabler.

Sabrina recalled her first acting gig during a July interview with NME. “It was so dramatic and scary,” she remembered about the Law & Order episode. “And that kind of made me want to get into acting. They were very nice to me on that set. It was so new, like, I didn’t know anything.” Someone give her a retroactive Emmy for this performance, immediately.

Did Sabrina Carpenter Quit Acting?

For now, it seems like Sabrina’s totally focused on music. Her most recent acting project was Tall Girl 2 (unless we’re counting her appearance in Charlie Puth’s “That’s Not How This Works” music video), and she hasn’t teased any new movies or TV shows recently. In October 2020, the Disney Channel alum announced that she would produce and star in the Netflix movie musical adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, but that’s not looking likely at this point, considering it’s four years later and there have been zero updates.

For now, Carpenters can go stream Short n’ Sweet on repeat and enjoy Sabrina’s vocal talents and playful lyrics.
