Is Taylor Swift Releasing The ‘Reputation’ Vault Tracks Soon? Analyzing These New Easter Eggs

Are you ready for it? 'Cause I certainly am.

As we all eagerly await Taylor Swift’s Max Martin-produced pop “bangers” album, The Life of a Showgirl, Swifties are already doing important detective work to figure out what else the pop legend has in store for them. After all, the gal loves a good easter egg perhaps even more than she loves a certain Chiefs tight end. Taylor’s constantly keeping the Swifties on their toes, hinting at what’s to come. And this time around, fans are convinced she’s teasing the Reputation vault tracks.

As a Reputation stan (since the day of its release), I’m attempting to remain calm, cool, and collected right now, since Taylor fan theories are so often incorrect. But apparently, people are finding Reputation-related clues on the TLOAS album cover and in the “Don’t Blame Me” lyrics on the Apple Music app. A coincidence? Probably not…

So, is Taylor Swift releasing Reputation vault tracks with (or shortly after) The Life of a Showgirl? Let’s break down this very intriguing fan theory.

Will Taylor Swift Release Reputation Vault Tracks With The Life Of A Showgirl?

Reputation Vault Tracks Easter Eggs, Explained

Apple Music users have noticed that The Life of a Showgirl album cover animation in the Apple Music app features black glittery cracks that look like the Eras Tour Reputation stage setup. And there’s an even more obvious new easter egg too! Taylor’s using her iconic capitalization code in the “Don’t Blame Me” lyrics on Apple Music. The capital letters spell out: “They don’t make loyalty like they used to.” There really isn’t a more Reputation-coded lyric than that.

In Taylor’s May 30, 2025 letter announcing that she purchased her masters, she shared that she tried to re-record Reputation, but it seemed impossible to top the original versions of the songs. That being said, she did tease the vault tracks. “There will be a time (if you’re into the idea) for the unreleased Vault tracks from that album to hatch,” she wrote at the time. (As if fans ~wouldn’t be into the idea~. Please.)

It’s notable that Reputation and The Life of a Showgirl seem to have several connections — high-energy pop songs, producers Max Martin and Shellback, and artistic direction from Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. So, it wouldn’t be shocking if Taylor enlisted those same folks to help her bring the Reputation vault tracks to life. I would fully support that choice.

We’re approaching the eighth anniversary of Reputation, which came out on November 10, 2017. Maybe, just maybe, we can look forward to the vault tracks this November? I apologize in advance for reverting to my 17-year-old self and making those songs my entire personality.
