IS THIS REAL LIFE? Taylor Swift revealed she’s dropping a new album called The Tortured Poets Department on April 19 while accepting the award for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2024 Grammys. She legit broke the internet by posting the album cover on IG right after she gave her speech.

“All’s fair in love and poetry… New album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. Out April 19,” a tweet from her official page read. She even shared a photo showing a snippet of written lyrics read, and I’m already sobbing.

The ~mastermind~ dropped the big news while accepting a Grammy award for Best Pop Vocal Album — marking her 13th win.

“I want to say thank you to the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way. But I know that the way that the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans,” she said on stage. “So I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album comes out on April 19.”

She continued, “It’s called the Tortured Poets Department. I’m gonna go and post the cover right now backstage. Thank you. I love you. Thank you.”

For the awards show, Taylor wore a white strapless Schiaparelli gown with black full-length gloves. She accessorized with a stack of silver necklaces and a vintage Lorraine Schwartz watch, which she wore as a choker. While it seemed to hint at the re-release of Reputation (Taylor’s Version), she was actually teasing The Tortured Poets Department.
