Girl, it’s so confusing sometimes to be a girl (girl girl)… especially when you’re a girl in the Beckham fam. Just 30 seconds ago, it was the Beckham boys who were fighting, and we were investigating Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham’s alleged beef over Romeo’s GF, Kim Turnbull. But as it turns out, the family drama is much more complicated than brothers fighting about a girl. Sources now claim there’s a pretty intense rift between Victoria Beckham and Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz — one that’s been simmering for years and is reportedly stirring up even more drama lately. This rumored feud might even be the reason why Brooklyn and Nicola didn’t attend David Beckham’s 50th birthday festivities in London last week.
So, WTF happened between Victoria Beckham and Nicola Peltz? Why all the rumored feuding and chaos? Here’s a full breakdown of the messy Beckham family drama.
According to an Us Weekly source, there’s been “bad blood” between Victoria and Nicola for years, since before Nicola and Brooklyn got married. “Things never really got smoothed over, and you can tell it still affects everyone,” the source claims. They added that the “tension” is still there and “Brooklyn’s having a tough time with it. He’s super stubborn and just wants space from his family right now.”
But where does this bad blood come from? Honestly, it sounds like the fashion designer and the actress just really do not mesh well. Per a TMZ source, Victoria feels like Nicola “stole” Brooklyn from her, and there was an awkward moment at the wedding when Victoria interrupted their first dance, low-key “pushing” Nicola out of the way. Yikes. The insider also claims that Nicola believes she’s been supportive of Victoria — attending her fashion shows and promoting her products on social media — but she feels like that support isn’t reciprocated. Plus, Nicola (allegedly) thinks Victoria and David are “narcissistic,” and she’s not a fan of how they treat Brooklyn. Celebrities? Narcissistic? I don’t believe it!
Supposedly, Nicola and Brooklyn have tried to repair their relationship with David and Victoria several times, but they haven’t been successful yet. According to TMZ, David and Victoria won’t have a conversation with them because Nicola “always talks back to them and stands up for Brooklyn.” Brooklyn and Nicola reportedly went to London last week to celebrate David’s 50th birthday, but they were shut out of the event because they wanted to meet privately beforehand.
“David and Victoria just want all the drama to stop,” the Us Weekly source says. “They’re really upset that it’s all become so public. It’s embarrassing for them, especially since they’ve always tried to come across as this super tight, united family.” I fear literally no one sees the Beckhams as a “super tight, united” bunch at this point.
