I Watched Every Episode of ‘With Love, Meghan’ In One Day, And These Are The Best Ones

Let's all go to Montecito.

I think we can all agree that the world is kind of a mess right now. There’s a lot to be stressed about, so when it’s time to turn on the TV, I’m seeking out the most gentle content I can find. And let me tell you, Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show With Love, Meghan definitely delivers. In fact, it’s perhaps the most gentle TV show ever made. You want eight hours of Meghan Markle arranging flowers and making more crudité platters than I can count? This is the show for you.

I’ll just say it: With Love, Meghan is the show the people need right now. We need to see the Duchess of Sussex cosplay Ina Garten. If I want to turn off my brain and watch Meghan Markle place edible flower petals on plates of crostini in a beautiful Montecito mansion while I eat a Trader Joe’s microwave burrito, then that’s exactly what I’m gonna do. And so I binged all eight episodes of With Love, Meghan in a day, and TBH I had a great time.

“When things are presented in a nice way, I often find people smile and they feel happy,” Meghan says at one point in the series while she puts together (what else?) yet another crudité platter. I found myself actually nodding along as I watched; it does make me happy to see things presented in a nice way, and With Love, Meghan is full of nicely presented things. If you want to see for yourself and feel happy too, these are the best episodes With Love, Meghan.

Best Episodes of With Love, Meghan

Episode 2: “Welcome to the Party”

Meghan Markle and Mindy Kaling is the duo I never knew I needed. Actually, excuse me, I mean Meghan Sussex, as Meghan corrects Mindy in an honestly exhilarating moment of tension. They sail past the name snafu, and Mindy points out that her special delivery of Meghan’s famous homemade jam demands all the tea about where she falls in Meghan’s friend ranking based on which numbered jar of Meghan’s famous homemade jam she received. Meghan insists there was no meaning behind the number, but I can’t help but wonder if there was more discussion off camera.

Episode 5: “Surprise and Delight”

Meghan begins this episode buying fresh flowers for her friends Abigail Spencer and Kelly McKee Zajfen and says “it should feel like a Nancy Meyers movie.” That is basically how I’d describe a lot of this show’s aesthetic, so she’s successful there. Later in the ep, Meghan reveals, “H is a great cook,” referring to her husband, the one and only Prince Harry. Any time she talks mentions Harry, it feels like a treat, and I honestly love learning that he makes really good scrambled eggs.

Episode 7: “Elevating the Everyday”

This episode feels like it pack the most for its punch. It starts off with Meghan strolling through her personal garden to gather fresh produce for her friend Vicky — who’s Vicky Tsai, founder of skincare titan Tatcha, NBD. Then, after watching Meghan make a whole lot of crudité platters for six episodes (girl loves her veggies!) she mixes it up by making homemade dumplings with Vicky. This is also refreshingly one of the few times the audience sees Meghan mess up when she tries to remove the dumplings from the pan, and it’s very endearing. It’s also right after Vicky nearly brings Meghan to tears with this very sweet quote: “Things that have lived and been dropped and put back together again are more beautiful.”

Episode 8: “Feels Like Home”

It’s really adorable watching Meghan fangirl over Alice Waters, who’s known as the godmother of California farm-to-table cuisine. Like, Meghan is literally royalty, but she can’t handle the fact that Alice Water made a vinaigrette for her. Also, this episode features the series’ one and only true Prince Harry sighting, when he shows up at her garden brunch to toast to her. She still seems the most excited about meeting Alice Waters, but it’s all very sweet.
