Uh Apparently There’s A Competition For The World’s Hottest Men And It’s Just What I Need This Week

AKA, auditions to be my next man.

It’s been a rough week to say the least. And even though it’s hard to get some relief from worrying about the state of the world now that that man has been reelected, I’m still going to try. I was scrolling through TikTok (okay, I was doomscrolling) and I happened upon a video that made me perk up and almost forget that I hate men: there was a video of the hottest men you’ve ever seen arriving in Vietnam for the 11th edition of the Mr. World competition. I’m sorry, excuse me? I didn’t even know there was a Mr. World competition, let alone that men who looked like this just casually existed in the world. So, being the investigative journalist that I am, I decided to do a deep dive on the men who I’d like to do a deep dive into me.

What Is The Mr. World Competition?

You’ve heard of Miss Universe or Miss World Organization — well, the Mr. World Competition is the male beauty pageant version. It was founded in 1996 and pretty much has the same purpose — find a super hot, well rounded guy that also likes to work on humanitarian projects. In other words, they’re finding someone who’s just my type.

The weird thing is that unlike the Miss World pageant, the Mr. World competition isn’t held annually — instead, it’s kind of held every few years at random times. Is it because it’s hard to find hot, charitable men with good personalities? That’s my guess — I know I struggle in that department too. But the last one was held in 2019 in the Philippines — and this year, all these beautiful men are gathering in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

Who’s Competing In The Mr. World Competition?

As you probably guessed, sexy men from all around the world come to join the Mr. World Competition. This year, there are 70 contestants from countries including Belgium, Ethiopia, and Turkey. And there will also be some countries debuting contestants this year including Guinea, Laos, Uganda, and Pakistan (aye, represent!).

What Happens At The Mr. World Competition?

Like any World beauty pageant, they can’t just give the title to someone who’s the hottest in the room (which is how I typically choose a man). They have to make sure whoever they name Mr. World is worthy of the title — which they test by putting the contestants through a series of competitions. There are a few familiar competitions like the talent competition, the “Top Model” competition” and the national costume competition where they don traditional outfits from their respective countries. But unlike Miss World, there’s an athletic component where the men compete in sports challenges like running, waterskiing, and mountain biking. Where has this contest been all my life??

If you want to get in on all the action (AKA, the flexed pecs), you can watch the Mr. World Competition from November 5 to 23 on www.mrworld.tv. Or, you can also just follow the Mr. World instagram account and keep an eye out for the TikTok videos. Me and my vibrator will see you there.
