Besides Working On Her Screen Time, What’s Next For Olympic Gymnast Jordan Chiles?

It’s been a busy few months in the life of Jordan Chiles. Last month, she competed in her second Olympics, winning a gold medal with Team USA, and lit the world on fire with her performance in the floor exercise final. After a brief post-Olympic hiatus from social media — something we can all aspire to— the world was pretty much her oyster, and she headed to New York City for an itinerary that would make even the most Type-A member of your group chat need a nap. Between attending the US Open, numerous fashion week events, a WNBA game, and receiving a bronze clock necklace from noted women’s sports fan Flavor Flav at the VMAs, Jordan found a few minutes to stop by Betches HQ, where we chatted about what’s next for her, and tested her knowledge of viral trends in our How Online Are You? series.

So, aside from working on her screen time, what’s next for Jordan Chiles? While she’s not sure of her Olympic future one way or the other, she’s still got lots of gymnastics on the horizon. She’s currently back in action with her Olympic teammates on Simone Biles’ Gold Over America Tour, which is hitting more than two dozen American cities this fall, and come 2025, she’ll rejoin the UCLA women’s gymnastics team after taking a season off to chase her Olympic dreams.

In addition to her gymnastics career, Jordan is taking advantage of the many opportunities coming her way, like her partnership with Too Good & Co. Smoothies, which she credits as a key to her recovery after the intense Olympic cycle. She’s used to competing on teams, and Jordan speaks to the collaborative nature of her campaign with Too Good & Co., which features fellow Olympic champion Sha’Carri Richardson and soccer star Kristie Mewis.

“I love being able to, you know, give flowers to everybody that does amazing things within their lives,” she tells Betches. “It’s pretty cool having the team atmosphere everywhere I go.”

First on the list to receive flowers from Jordan is her close friend and teammate, 11-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles. She recalls pinch-me moments in the Olympic Village when she and Simone “would look at each other and be like, we’re actually here. This is crazy to even think about.” After the difficulties and disappointment of the Tokyo Olympics, the Paris team’s self-styled “Redemption Tour” resulted in them reclaiming the team gold in emphatic fashion. Jordan’s thoughts on the long-awaited victory? “It was pretty cool to be able to do that, for sure.” Pretty cool, indeed.
