Alex Warren And His Super Vulnerable Music Are Having A Moment

Okay but the music video for "Ordinary" is actually so sweet.

It all started from the backseat of a car in California. That’s where Alex Warren was living when he started posting videos of his romance with Instagram model Kouvr Annon. Fast forward to 2025, and a song Alex wrote for Kouvr, “Ordinary,” is number one in a bunch of countries, they’re married, and Alex is headed for superstardom. And what has your boyfriend done for you lately?

TBH, is there anything more romantic than a guy writing a song for you? I guess the only thing even better is turning it into a massive success. Of course, success isn’t entirely new for Alex Warren. He’s one of the founders of Hype House, along with Kouvr. Hype House helped spark the careers of Addison Rae, Charlie D’Amelio, Chase Hudson and Thomas Petrou, not to mention a Netflix series. But, Alex and Kourvr left in 2022 when it was time to “move on to the next chapter in their lives.”

Since then, Alex has shifted from posting videos to making music, and has found a lot of success sharing some of his most personal stories in his songs. And his fans have stuck with him.

“I think that’s really rare,” he told BBC. “Usually, when someone goes from social media to music, they lose that fan base. But I think a lot of people watched my YouTube videos because they were having a rough life and needed an escape. So when I started making music about my rough life, I think they identified with it even more.”

Here’s a breakdown of everything to know about Alex Warren before his music blows up even more.

Who Is Alex Warren?

Alex Warren has not always had an easy go of it. His dad was diagnosed with kidney cancer before he was born and died when Alex was 9 years old. His mom lived with alcoholism and kicked Alex out of the house at age 18; she died when Alex was 21 years old. He told BBC that he channeled a lot of that loss and pain into his songwriting. “I started mourning for the first time, and I didn’t know how to process it, so I just went to the piano and played some chords,” he said. “And that’s kind of where I started learning how to write.”

In the last few years, as Alex has shifted his focus from prank videos and lifestyle content to music, his TikTok has become a lot more focused on promoting his songs. In addition to the song “Ordinary,” which he wrote for Kouvr, he’s also collaborated with Joe Jonas (yes, that Joe Jonas) on the song “Burning Down.” That song is part of his first studio album You’ll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1).

Who Is Alex Warren’s Wife Kouvr Annon?

But back to Kouvr and “Ordinary.” Alex and Kouvr got married in June 2024, and besides some drama about other influencers posting from the event, it looks like it was a magical day. He shared his vows on TikTok, and… well, just have a box of tissues ready before you watch. Alex wrote “Ordinary” for Kouvr right after their wedding, so it makes perfect sense that she was in the music video for the song. It’s even sweeter when you realize that Kouvr is afraid of heights, but she agreed to get rigged high up in the air just for the shoot. Now that’s true love.
