After four years of a Justin Bieber music drought, there might be a glimmer of hope for Beliebers: The king of 2010s pop is rumored to be making a major comeback soon! We can only hope there will be no outrageous uses of Martin Luther King Jr. clips this time. Considering his last album was almost entirely about Hailey Bieber, I’m guessing there are some more happy marriage songs on the way. Perhaps Justin will also write about being a new father to Jack Blues and/or processing Selena Gomez’s engagement to his former bestie, Benny Blanco? We’ll have to wait and see…

Here’s everything to know about Justin Bieber’s 2025 music comeback.

What We Know About Justin Bieber’s Next Era

On January 10, Matthew Belloni of Puck News wrote about Justin’s rumored comeback in his “What I’m Hearing” newsletter. Per the newsletter, Justin is currently working on new music and is also planning to tour. Yes, I’m aware that the “What I’m Hearing” newsletter isn’t exactly the No. 1 source for entertainment news, but this report isn’t the only hint we’ve gotten about Justin’s next era.

Back in September 2024, singer-songwriter and producer Mk.gee revealed to The New York Times that he had written and recorded new music with Justin. At the time, he explained that the pop star was “searching” for his next sound. “Anything that comes out of his mouth: That’s pop music,” Mk.gee said. “You can really do pretty wild stuff behind that, just because it represents something.”

Not to mention, Justin teased a new song on Instagram a few days after Matthew’s newsletter report. In the clip, he’s in the car and listening to an unreleased song that I’d categorize as soft rap. He sings/raps about “shaking off the hate” and how he “bought a Birkin for [his] bitch.” Sooo, no fatherhood or Selena content so far, lol.

This will notably be Justin’s first music era sans Scooter Braun, his controversial ex-manager. (They parted ways in August 2023.)

Is It True That Justin Bieber “Needs The Money”?

Okay, keep in mind that this is just a rumor, but Matthew also claimed in his newsletter that Justin is making music again because he “needs the money.” According to this report, Justin still owes the touring company AEG “a ton for his canceled tour” in March 2023. (The singer canceled his Justice World Tour following a Ramsay-Hunt syndrome diagnosis, which left his face partially paralyzed.) The newsletter also claims Justin as “other pop star expenses” he needs to take care of.

There’s no evidence to suggest the financial distress rumor is true, so I’d take that one with a grain of salt. Whether or not he actually needs money, I do feel confident that we’re getting new Justin music soon, thank goodness.
