Nepo baby discourse can get really intense, especially when we’re talking about the cast of Girls. People love to point out the pedigrees of the main Girls foursome and their families. And yes, Lena Dunham’s parents are kinda a big deal in the art world, but I think Girls stands on its own, separate from any of the stars’ family connections. And yes, Allison Williams is news anchor Brian Williams’ daughter. But she earned her iconic role as Marnie Michaels all on her own.
After Allison graduated from college, she posted a bunch of videos of her singing and acting on YouTube. “It’s the new way of getting seen,” Allison told the Los Angeles Times in 2013. “And I didn’t want to not be ready when I could finally try out for the bigger stuff.” Ah, a simpler time, before TikTok, when YouTube was a novelty!

All of that hard work has brought Allison a net worth estimated to be around $5 million. That’s thanks to her role in Girls, obvi, but also her roles in Get Out, Fellow Travelers, and Horizon Line. That last project is where she met her fiancé, actor Alexander Dreymon. They share a son, Arlo, who was born in 2021. Of course, there’s also Allison’s on-screen robo-child Megan, and that whole movie franchise that I’m sure is helping to boost her net worth as we speak.
