Paul is looking flushed as Ayo flashes her perfect smile and has a hand firmly planted on his shoulder. I daresay the king and queen of Ireland are meant to be. Who knew that Ayo slaying the role of Jenny the donkey in The Banshees of Inisherin would lead to one of the most important images of our time?

Naturally, people (me) have their suspicions about Paul and Ayo after this incredible post. In my dreams, yes. In reality… TBD. This Insta moment could very well be a soft-launch situation, but there’s no concrete evidence of a romance just yet. They do have a lot in common — Ireland. If Ayaul isn’t already a thing, maybe they just need to play lovers in a movie to get there.

This not out of the question!! Romance novelist Emily Henry announced a film adaptation of her popular book, Book Lovers, earlier this month. On St. Paddy’s day, she posted the Paul and Ayo photo on her Instagram Story, which could *possibly* be a hint at the casting for the movie. I’m gonna need Emily to spill that tea immediately.

ALSO, Paul has literally said that he wants to work with Ayo. In November 2023, the heartthrob told Awards Watch, “Comedy scares me deeply because I think I saw Bottoms recently and I was in awe of how they do that.” (Did you catch that? He was in awe of Ayo. Screaming.) He added, “But I think in the next five years I’m going to set myself a challenge to do maybe a rom-com with Ayo [Edebiri] or something like that would be cool.” How ’bout in the next year?
