Miley Cyrus getting engaged to Maxx Morando is my final straw, I fear. I’ve had it. Why is every pop star in existence cuffed right now? Olivia Rodrigo’s basically married to her British BF, Louis Partridge, Ariana Grande’s still happily dating her Wicked costar, Ethan Slater, and all of their peers either got married or put a ring on it this year. *Except* Sabrina Carpenter, who’s doing a masterful job repping the single, slightly misandrist girls. Thank you for your service, queen. (And shoutout to Tate McRae, who’s newly single and serving up god-tier breakup bangers on the deluxe version of SO CLOSE TO WHAT???.)
Clearly, love is in the air in Hollywood or NYC or wherever all the vocally blessed gals are living these days. I’m just concerned that us single girls and gays are being left behind. Like, what are we supposed to do without our regularly scheduled programming of angry, depressing music? Not everyone can relate to love songs, given the extremely cursed modern dating pool.
You might think I’m being dramatic, but I’ll prove to you just how serious the situation is: Here are all the pop stars who got engaged or married in 2025.
Pop Stars Who Got Engaged Or Married In 2025
Miley Cyrus (Engaged)

Miley, of course, has new chunky golden ring on her finger after that recent surprise proposal from her drummer fiancé. “Me and Max have been together for four years and it’s very obvious the drastic amount of growth I’ve had in those four years,” she said on Good Morning America. “You just want to dream the biggest you can and you want to have someone by your side that always tells you you can do it.” Welp, happy for them.
Dua Lipa (Engaged)

I can’t even be mad about this one because I always support two extremely hot, extremely unproblematic people finding each other. After months of speculation, Dua confirmed her engagement to Callum Turner last June. “This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever – it’s a really special feeling,” she spilled to British Vogue. I hope they enjoy a billion luxurious vacations together <3.
Normani (Engaged)

In March, NFL star DK Metcalf popped the question to Normani and it was a ~hell yes~ from the former Fifth Harmony singer. “Honestly, I was so overwhelmed,” she told Vogue about the proposal. “I can’t even remember what was said. I just said ‘Yes, yes, yes, of course.’ The ring was beautiful. My baby did amazing.” Love album on the way, I hope?
Selena Gomez (Married)

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco tied the knot in a stunning Santa Barbara, California ceremony in September. They both wore Ralph Lauren for the special day — Selena looked drop-dead gorge in a halter-style bodice with floral details, while Benny looked dapper in a black tuxedo and bowtie. (Naturally, Taylor Swift and a bunch of other A-list celebs were in attendance.) Selenators can only hope Benny keeps inspiring Selena to make more music.
Demi Lovato (Married)

Disney Channel kids (me) are unwell over the fact that Selena and Demi got married the same year. Demi also fell for a musician (his name is Jutes), and the lovebirds exchanged vows back in May, also in Santa Barbara, California. These two met in a songwriting session and continue to collaborate on incredible music. TBH, as a lifelong Lovatic, I’m just happy she’s happy.
Charli XCX (Married)

The legendary inventor of BRAT also got hitched this year — to her precious George, of course. Charli and George had a humble town hall wedding in London before celebrating celeb-style in Italy with all their famous pals. The 365 party girl once said, “I wanna dance with George,” and now they’ll dance together at wild parties for a lifetime. That’s beautiful.
Zendaya (Engaged)

If you don’t count Zendaya as a pop star, you don’t know shit about 2013’s “Replay” and it shows. Anyhoo, Zendaya and Tom Holland technically got engaged in late 2024, but we got our first peek at her 5.02-carat cushion-cut diamond ring at the Golden Globes in January, and Tom just called the Challengers star his “fiancée” for the first time in September.
Taylor Swift (Engaged)

We all remember where we were when we saw that dreamy garden photo and the classic Taylor caption: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” It’s safe to say this will be the wedding of the century, perhaps the wedding of the millennium. I can’t help but wonder what future Travis-inspired albums will sound like, considering we already know all about his “wood.”
