Benny Blanco Is Really Private About His Dating History

You know a guy is serious about getting wifed up when he makes a list of traits for his future partner. That’s what Benny Blanco did before he met Selena Gomez, and lo behold, here we are with a happily engaged couple. Not only are they engaged, but they’re also promoting their first album together, I Said I Love You First.

Benny and Selena went on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast to talk about their new album, but of course, the convo turned to their romance. That’s when the music producer revealed that he basically manifested his relationship with Selena.

“Before I met her, I was a guy in L.A. trying to find the one for me and I was having some trouble,” he explained. “I think I was maybe not looking in all the right places. I was like OK, it’s time to be a grown up, I want to start a life, I want to have a family, I want to find a person that is like my other half that makes me feel better and I make them feel better. It’s a give and take, the perfect yin and yang, so I wrote down a list.”

That list included things like “kind, compassionate and caring,” and “age-appropriate.” I’m sure there are a lot of people who could fit that criteria, but Benny managed to bag a gorgeous, billionaire multi-hyphenate star. Good for you, Benny!

Benny might not have been having much luck dating before he got together with Selena, but he hasn’t shared much else about those relationships with the public. The only other partner we definitely know about is Elsie Hewitt, whom Benny dated from 2019 to 2020. Benny met the model working on his and Juice WRLD’s 2019 music video for “Graduation.”

Benny posted some pics of Elsie and called her his girlfriend on X in early 2020, but they broke up sometime later that year. Don’t worry about Elsie, though. She’s found love with Mr. BDE himself, Pete Davidson.

As for Benny, we don’t know much more beyond that. He and Selena started dating in 2023, and Selena calls him “the best thing to ever happen to me.” So it looks like Benny’s list worked out well for everybody.
