It’s been a busy month for Aimee Lou Wood! The White Lotus season 3 finale left fans (spoiler alert!) mourning the loss of her very lovable character Chelsea. But there wasn’t much time for mourning before the internet sleuths did their sleuthing thing and discovered Aimee Lou and her co-star Walton Goggins have cut all social media ties. The natural conclusion is that something went down between them, although it’s unclear what exactly.

And then, on top of that, Saturday Night Live decided to enter the chat. Yep, SNL did a White Lotus parody sketch in their April 12 episode, and it included a not-so-flattering take on Aimee Lou. She called the “mean and unfunny,” but Walton praised the sketch in some now-deleted comments. The plot thickens.

Like I said, it’s been a lot for our girl Aimee Lou. Luckily, a number of celebrities have reached out and spoken up to show their support for her, so at least we know she’s got some friends in her corner. Starting this list off with a really sweet one. SNL cast member Sarah Sherman played Aimee Lou in the viral White Lotus parody sketch. But after learning how hurt Aimee Lou was by it, it looks like Sarah is trying to make amends. Aimee Lou posted a photo of flowers with thank you note to Sarah on her Instagram story, I’m happy to report. Aimee Lou had previously written on Instagram that she didn’t blame Sarah. “Not hating on her, hating on the concept,” she wrote.

Cara Delevingne

Cara jumped on the Aimee Lou support train right away by reposting Aimee’s original Instagram story about the SNL sketch and adding: “@aimeelouwood YOU ARE STUNNING PERIOD.” Agreed, Cara!

Jameela Jamil

Jameela Jamil had a lot to say about how the SNL sketch commented on Aimee Lou’s appearance. She wrote on Instagram: “I hate this so much. It’s the least interesting or memorable thing about this brilliant actor. Our next Olivia Coleman. Hilarious, deep, vulnerable, and relentlessly lovable.”

She wrote even more in another slide: “We make fun of the assimilation of women,” Jameela went on, “and then mercilessly obsess over anyone with any slightly alternative features from whatever bullshit AI standard we have allowed, as women, to take hold of this world. I also think she’s so fucking beautiful and love her face so much and wouldn’t want her to look any different.”
