It’s a given that every season of Love Is Blind needs a villain, and actually, some seasons have several. (Raise your hand if you were personally victimized by Trevor, Clay, Kenneth, Matthew, Jimmy, AND Jeramey with an A in the same damn season.) On season 8, medical salesman David Bettenburg has volunteered as tribute to be the bro every betch loves to hate and from where I’m sitting, it’s not even close. I can’t even lie. I had a suspicion David, who also goes by Dave, was going to be v serious trouble the very moment I saw he was wearing those suede Chelsea boots in his purple cast photo. No honest man has ever purchased those shoes in good conscience, I’m convinced, and so far Dave’s performance in the pod hasn’t convinced me otherwise. So who is David Bettenburg from Love Is Blind? Here’s everything you need to know to mentally prepare for his hot mess express.

What is Dave from Love Is Blind’s job?

While filming the show, Dave worked in medical device sales, specifically in the plastic surgery arena. He told Netflix he was used to being around “too much Botox” but now is looking for something different in a woman. Translation, even though he profits off of the cosmetic surgery industry he now judges it as “superficial” and wants to start prioritizing personality over looks. That seems like it’s def going to go over well with the ladies! However, after casually snooping on Dave’s LinkedIn page, it looks like he may have gotten a new job outside of the medical sales space, after all. Since August 2024, Dave’s listed job title has been “Account Executive” at a company that helps with “legal solutions.”

David is a very demure 33-year-old.

David’s IG feed shows off a whole lot of beach vacations down south as well as many trips around the major US cities basic bros love (NY, Chi Town, Nashville, you name it). Okay, Mr. Catch Flights Not Feelings.

Where is Dave Bettenburg from?

Dave is originally from Minneapolis, according to his IG bio, which makes sense since that’s the location for the eighth season of Love Is Blind.
