Everything We Know About Devin And Virginia’s Status After ‘Love Is Blind’

Ruh-roh, we’ve got ourselves another case of a love triangle! And not just one; Love is Blind season 8 featured so many love triangles, it felt like we were dissociating in the back of geometry class again. 32 singles entered the pods hoping to find real love, and out of that pack, five couples emerged engaged. Within that, we witnessed countless love triangles, including the one between Devin, Virginia, and Brittany. Who did Devin propose to? Are Devin and Virginia still together? We’ve got a lot of questions — especially after that sneak peek of next week!

Did Devin and Virginia get engaged?

Things escalated quickly for Devin and Virginia when they realized they had gone to the same high school. Don’t worry, this wasn’t another case of Uche and Lydia (trigger warning, Season 5), as there were five years between them. Yep, Virginia is 34 and a healthcare recruiter focused on racial bias in healthcare—iconic. Meanwhile, Devin is 29 and a youth director/basketball coach, but don’t worry, he apparently likes his women older. He also owns over 100 pair of sneakers, which is truly a homage to Brett in season 4.

Speaking of high school, Devin opened up about a difficult period in his teenage years following a basketball injury. He struggled with painkiller addiction and dark thoughts—something that has shaped both his life and faith. He shared this with both Brittany and Virginia, both of whom responded with emotion and compassion.

Brittany, a 35-year-old professional girlboss, shared Devin’s passion for basketball and gospel music, but ultimately, she was not the one for him. Notably, he got pretty weird after she mentioned her past experience dating women… Hmm, someone get Sara over here to confront him.

After a mutual end to things with Brittany, Devin went all-in on Virginia. He showered her with gifts, read her a handwritten letter, and ultimately proposed. Their first meeting was a little anticlimactic, with both of them seeming very nervous and talking a lot. But neither of them immediately ended things, so that’s a good sign… right?

By the end of episode 6, the pair were happily engaged, and things appear to be smooth sailing. Then we got a sneak peek of next week’s episodes…

We see Devin and Virginia getting along, and even him meeting her mom, and it seemingly going well. But the real hurdle comes in the form of a cast reunion, which is usually enough to rock at least one couple past repair. This time it might be Devin and Virginia, as Brittany enters and cheerfully greets Devin. The two proceed to talk privately outside, and Devin tells Brittany, “When I’m with you, it just seems like very easy and comfortable,” and he laughingly agrees that she is “gorgeous.” Meanwhile, Virginia is not-so-subtle with her facial expressions—me too, bestie.

These episode previews have gaslighted us before, so it could be nothing. But while we do see Monica and Joey at the altar, the same cannot be said for Devin and Virginia.

To top it all off, a bit of sleuthing revealed that, unlike other couples from the season, Virginia and Devin do not follow each other on Instagram, which could indicate that they either did not get married or did marry and have since split. The IG doesn’t lie!! Also, Brittany follows Devin, but he doesn’t follow her back. WHAT DOES IT MEAN? But Devinia fans, rest assured that season 7’s Golden Couple Garrett and Taylor weren’t following each other on Instagram!
