Charlotte May Have Dated Big IRL And My Little ‘Sex And The City’-Loving Mind Is Exploding

Obviously, the dating lives of the characters from Sex and the City (and And Just Like That…) are full of juicy drama. Otherwise, fans wouldn’t have spent the last almost 30 years watching them gallivant through New York. Now, the dating lives of the real-life people who play those characters? Well, that’s a different story. The actors have kept a lot of their private lives, well, private. But apparently, there have been rumors that Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte, and Chris Noth, who plays Big, dated in real life.

It almost breaks my brain to think about it, but there are a bunch of photos of Kristin and Chris looking really cozy together in 2000. She’s literally licking his face in one of the photos, which isn’t exactly normal platonic behavior. So eagle-eyed fans saw those photos and ran with them, operating under the assumption that despite all of Carrie’s pining for Big, Charlotte’s the one who had some kind of fling with him IRL.

However, everything changed with the start of Kristin’s podcast Are You A Charlotte? in January 2025, where she’s spilling all kinds of tea about Sex and the City. Most recently, Chris came up in the conversation. She didn’t address the whole recent mess of his personal life, but she did address those dating rumors. This is what we learned about whether or not Kristin Davis and Chris Noth dated.

Megan Thee Stallion was a recent guest on Are You A Charlotte? and the topic of Big came up. Megan was not afraid to talk about how much she hates the character, and Kristin was not afraid to spoil the fact that Big died in the first episode of And Just Like That… Megan seemed genuinely shocked, to which I had to ask where she’d been for the last four years. But I digress.

Kristin posted a clip of the podcast episode on Instagram, and with all the Big/Chris Noth talk, one commenter wrote, “Maam, didn’t you date him??” And to everyone’s delight, Kristin responded with a definitive answer: “No i didnit!!! [sic]”

Now, despite Kristin’s small typo, she seems pretty clear on the fact that she did not date Chris Noth. Huh. So I guess they were just co-stars and friends who were really, really close. I guess Kristin is putting those Chris Noth dating rumors to bed, a place she notably didn’t go to with Chris.
