Kick Kennedy’s dating history

Kick reportedly was dating Harper Simon, as in the son of Paul Simon, as in the Simon half of Simon & Garfunkel, in 2014. The relationship lasted less than a year around when Kick was about 26, according to Page Six. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t serious though. Kick told the New York Post that Harper had won the Kennedy family over, vacationed with them in The Cape, and became her grandmother Ethel Skakel’s favorite evening entertainment during the trip when he played guitar.

In 2018, Kick was in a relationship with 54-year-old banking billionaire Matthew Mellon up until his death. Mellon was tragically found in Mexico where he was attempting to get treatment for opioid addiction. The Mellons are one of America’s original old money banking families but Matthew also made a great deal of new money after he got into cryptocurrency. He was previously married to Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon before spending time together with Kick, then 30, who was said by her manager to be very close to Matthew during their relationship.

Kick is just one of many Kennedy youths getting lots of attention these days. She is the daughter of RFK Jr. (who recently bowed out of running for president and is currently married to Curb actress Cheryl Hines) with his first wife Emily Black. As a mini refresher, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is the son of the late Robert F. Kennedy Sr., which makes him John F. Kennedy’s nephew (who is, therefore, Kick’s great uncle). I love family trees! Kick was named after Robert Sr. and John’s sister Kathleen, who went by the same nickname. Kick has said “Nobody but the TSA and the Department of Motor Vehicles” refers to her as Kathleen and she is very similar to her great aunt though she never got to meet her.

Kick studied acting at Stanford and has since appeared on Gossip Girl (as herself) and The Newsroom. Wonder if she has any fun Blake Lively stories! Sources claim Kit and Ben have been seen out together at appropriately swanky digs for a Kennedy meets Hollywood Royalty fling, like the Polo Club in Los Angeles. While these sources have stated to People and Page Six that Ben and Kick are “hanging out”, and there are reports of Ben and Kick’s friendship dating back to 2020, a rep for Ben recently clarified there is “nothing” real about this alleged relationship. We all know there’s only room for one favorite in Ben’s heart and that’s Matt Damon.
