The way the entire cast of Summer House has decided to be messy AF for season 9 is making me feel young again! For one, Kyle and Craig’s canned beverage beef is finally playing out on camera. For two, even though Paige is defending her man publicly, she’s privately breaking up with him in slow motion (lol, remember when Craig kept insisting everything was totally chill to debunk breakup rumors… things were NOT chill). And for three, Lexi and Jesse’s hot and heavy love affair is causing major drama in the house, and I’m not talking about West being weirdly jealous that his bestie might not be available to push their beds together every weekend anymore. Lexi’s one-track mind for Jesse (honestly, kinda have to stan her making boundaries crystal clear whether I agree with them or not) has met its match: Jesse’s fangirling over Ciara. The trailer showed that Lexi “doesn’t trust” Ciara during their time in the Hamptons. But guess what, lovers of mess? Lexi just seemingly threw shade at Ciara on Instagram hinting that their summer squabble isn’t quite over.

It seems v possible after Lexi’s social media activity! On March 19, 2025, Lexi reposted an Instagram post (originally shared by Lindsay) to her IG story — making sure to crop Ciara out of the frame. Lexi’s story was captioned “the girls <333” and was positioned so that Hubbs, Gabby, Bailee Henderson, and Amanda were shown floating in the pool alongside Lexi, but conveniently left out Ciara (and all the boys). Some fans are interpreting the move as shade specifically against Ciara given the caption “the girls” implies Ciara probably should’ve been included.

Making matters even more shady, the second slide of Lindsay’s original post included a photo without Ciara in it already, so if Lexi didn’t want to get accusations of trying to make a subtle point, she probably could’ve just posted that one instead.

The trailer for season 9 of Summer House shows Lexi having tension with Ciara because of her situationship with Jesse Solomon. Jesse and Ciara have been openly flirty during the summer, which apparently pushes Lexi to a breaking point during the summer, though Ciara views the flirtation as “stupid” fun.

Lexi clearly doesn’t agree with that sentiment when she notes “he’s flirting with Ciara” while watching Jesse and Ciara and later yells “I don’t trust her, sorry I don’t trust you!” to Ciara across the table in the preview. At a party, Ciara says “Fuck you, actually” but for now it’s unclear if she’s popping off at Jesse or his love sprung Lexi.
