Maya Henry famously lived out a lot of Directioners’ wildest Wattpad fantasy, but it turned out to be kind of a nightmare for her. When Maya was a 15-year-old Directioner in 2015, she met Liam at a meet-and-greet, and apparently, she left quite an impression. After Liam split from Cheryl Cole (who he shares he son with), he moved on with Maya in August 2018. The former couple went public with their romance in September 2019 and got engaged in August 2020. Naturally, Liam proposed to her with a $4 million ring.

This is a very believable answer, considering Liam said in the same episode: “There are many reasons I dislike Zayn.” Lol. My parents are overly supportive, to the point where it’s annoying at times, and Zayn had a different upbringing in that sense.” In the most condescending ramble ever, he basically called Zayn a “dick,” but also reiterated that he “understands” and hopes “one day, the other person on the end of the phone wants to receive the help.” Babe, I think the call may be coming from inside the house.

A few months ago in May 2024, Maya revealed to People that one of her exes pressured her into having an abortion. “If it were up to me, I wouldn’t have done it,” she shared. “But then also, if I were to have made a different decision, then I would’ve lost the person that I loved.”

Maya notably released a novel, Looking Forward, that follows a model’s complicated romance with a British pop star. In the book, the main character, Mallory, discovers that she’s pregnant, but ultimately decides to get an abortion because her boyfriend threatens to leave her if she keeps the baby. She suffers complications from the procedure and has to go to the hospital. Maya claims that her book is fiction, but “inspired by true events.” Hmmm.

She noted to People, “What I went through in real life is very similar to what Mallory went through in the book. I definitely did have some complications, and I did have to go to the hospital alone.” Maya has said that the project was inspired by journals she wrote during the Covid pandemic, when she was with Liam.

Maya and Liam split for the last time in May 2022. “Maya was blindsided by the split,” a source told E! at the time. They added, “He abruptly ended it with her. She is very upset. They have definitely had their fair share of ups and downs in their relationship.”

When they were temporarily broken up in June 2021, Liam admitted on The Diary of a CEO podcast that he has “not been very good at relationships.” No shit. He explained, “I just wasn’t giving a very good version of me anymore, that I didn’t appreciate and I didn’t like being.”

After posting her video about Liam and Zayn, Maya got a lot of comments about how she won’t stop talking about Liam. Please. As if any of you would. She made another TikTok explaining why she’s still speaking about her ex and accused him of being the “obsessed” one. “Ever since we broke up, he messages me, blows up my phone… always from different phone numbers,” Maya said. “He’ll create new iCloud accounts to message me.” WTF?? She also said that Liam emails her sometimes and even contacts her mother. “He’s the one that is constantly doing weird shit,” Maya emphasized. “He says that he preys on One Direction fans because they will always be loyal to him and they won’t tell on him.” Yiiiikes.
