Nobody Wants This? More like everybody wants this. I’ve been craving more of the addictive Netflix rom-com show ever since I binged it back in September 2024. Kristen Bell and Adam Brody’s insane chemistry… what in the Gossip Girl? In season 1, we see Kristen’s character, a non-Jewish podcaster named Joanne, and Adam’s character, a Rabbi named Noah, fall in love, despite the glaringly obvious religion issue. Not to mention, Joanne’s overcoming some anxious avoidant tendencies and Noah’s fresh out of a serious relationship with a fellow Jew, Rebecca. It’s a disaster, but it’s also cutesy, charming, and hilarious. So, when is Nobody Wants This season 2?? We finally have an update on the release date, thank god. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming season.

Nobody Wants This Season 2: Premiere Date, Cast, Plot

Nobody Wants This Season 2 Release Date

Nobody Wants This Season 2 is coming to Netflix on October 23, 2025! In a new video, the cast shared the exciting news as they asked a magic eight ball questions about the “scoop” on the second season.

Netflix announced back in October that the show was renewed. (Absolutely no one was shocked, considering it did numbers on Netflix, charting in the top 10 lists in a bunch of countries.) And this upcoming season might just top the first one, because Girls alums Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan are joining as executive producers and showrunners!

When asked by Rolling Stone how long they’d do the show, Kristen responded, “Till our faces fall off,” and Adam agreed, “Yeah, till our faces fall off.” That’s what I like to hear. (I will watch ’till my face falls off.)

This is just speculation since we don’t have lots of details yet, but I’m guessing we can expect to see the stars of season 1 return. Clearly, Kristen and Adam are coming back to play Joanne and Noah, respectively. And there would be riots in the streets if Justine Lupe (Morgan) and Timothy Simons (Sasha) didn’t return to explore whatever messiness is going on between Kristen’s sister and Adam’s brother. Surely, Jackie Tohn will also be back as Esther to put the fear of God in all of us. I hope Emily Arlook (Rebecca) will return as well, because there’s always more Noah and Rebecca drama to explore!

What Is Nobody Wants This Season 2 About?

As we know, Noah gets an offer to become head Rabbi at the end of season 1. Although Joanne is madly in love, she’s not feeling great about converting to Judaism just for a man. Fair enough. But when she tells Noah that they have to break up, he does the rom-com thing and runs after her, claiming he just wants to be with her more than anything. Sooo, where does that leave them? Is he really gonna turn his life upside down to be with her? Is that gonna make her uncomfy? Or will she ultimately just convert?

These are the questions a season 2 would likely address. During a Vulture interview, show creator Erin Foster shared that she wants to explore the conversion experience — a spoiler if I’ve ever heard one. The series is based on Erin’s real life, and she converted to Judaism to be with her husband, Simon Tikhman, so yeah, I’m thinking that’s where we’re headed.
