Our prayers have been answered: Rachel Sennott is writing, executive producing, and starring in a new funny and girly HBO show. And the wait for it is almost over!

The pilot was picked up at HBO in March 2025, and it’s pretty much all I’ve thought about since then. Coming-of-age, you say? Girls in their 20s, you say? Codependent friend group, you say? That’s the dream formula right there. They already had me at the combo of HBO, Rachel, and a Girls-esque concept, but the other cast members are also iconic.

Naturally, I’ve been checking for any and all updates about this series… like multiple times a day for months now. So, when can we watch it? Who are the other stars? Amazing news: we finally have the trailer. Here’s everything to know about Rachel Sennott’s upcoming HBO show, including the title, release date, plot, and cast.

All About Rachel Sennott’s Upcoming HBO Show

The Title Of Rachel Sennott’s HBO Show

Back in August, Rachel announced that the title is: I Love LA.

“Luck is just when preparation meets opportunity,” Rachel’s character, Maia, declares in the trailer. “Hustle until your idols become your rivals.” When she asks for a promotion, her shitty boss (played by Leighton Meester) doesn’t seem so excited about the idea.

When Will Rachel Sennott’s HBO Show I Love LA Come Out?

I Love LA will premiere on November 2, with episodes dropping weekly on Sunday nights until the December 21 finale. It’s officially a Rachel Sennott fall! With the announcement, we got a promo photo of Rachel getting laser hair removal and wearing a shirt and underwear with the show title.

What’s The Plot Of Rachel Sennott’s New HBO Show?

The official logline for the show states, “A codependent friend group reunites, navigating how the time apart, ambition, and new relationships have changed them.” According to Deadline, Rachel is “following in the footsteps of” Lena Dunham, who gave us Girls, and Issa Rae, who gave us Insecure. Personally, I think we always need more HBO canon shows about girls in their 20s just trying to vibe and encountering lots of drama along the way.

Obviously, Rachel Sennott is the star, thank goodness. But we also have Billie Eilish’s rumored girlfriend/fling, Odessa A’zion, in the mix as well as one of my favorite impressions influencers, Jordan Firstman. Miles Robbins of The X-Files and True Whitaker, as in Forest Whitaker’s daughter, have also been cast as leads.

Plus, Hunger Games icon Josh Hutcherson stars in the show, and the one and only Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and social media queen Quenlin Blackwell are also involved.

Needless to say, this show is about to be my whole personality.
