Jurassic World Rebirth came roaring into theaters, making it the biggest opening weekend for a movie in 2025. And while I’m sure the dinos are celebrating big, the human cast members also have a lot to get pumped for, especially Scarlett Johansson. With the major success of Jurassic World Rebirth, star ScarJo hit her own milestone: She became the highest-grossing actor in Hollywood.
Back in 2017, Scarlett became the highest-grossing actress, but with this latest Jurassic installment, she’s surpassed two actors (and her former Marvel co-stars), Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Downey Jr., to become the top earner regardless of gender. Win for feminism? Maybe. Although in 2017, ScarJo did an interview with Marie Claire and clarified that just because her movies earn the most, it doesn’t mean she gets to see all that money herself.
“Just because I’m the top-grossing actress of all time does not mean I’m the highest paid,” Scarlett told Marie Claire. “I’ve had to fight for everything that I have. It’s such a fickle and political industry.”
So exactly how much does Scarlett get paid for her movies and other projects? Let’s take a look at Scarlett Johansson’s net worth and figure out how being the highest-grossing actor has shaken out for her.

With the latest addition of the box office moolah from Jurassic World Rebirth, ScarJo’s 36 movies have amassed a total of $14.8 billion. And all that movie star cache has helped her rake in a hefty personal net worth. Scarlett Johansson’s net worth is reported to hover around $165 million.
In addition to her paychecks from her nearly 30-year-long film career, ScarJo reportedly also has over $20 million worth of real estate in Los Angeles, New York City, and Amagansett, New York.

ScarJo reportedly earned between $15 million and $20 million for her role in Jurassic World Rebirth, which seems pretty fair, given the star power she brought and the hefty box office numbers the movie pulled.
In 2021, ScarJo sued Disney, which is definitely the kind of thing you can only do if you have over $150 million to shuffle around. She was supposed to earn a percentage of the box office revenue for Black Widow, but Disney decided to release the movie on Disney+, and streaming the movie cut into some of the earnings Scarlett was supposed to get. After a series of back-and-forth negotiations, Scarlett received a settlement from Disney, reportedly valued at around $40 million. Not too shabby!
