So… Do Carl And Ciara Actually Hook Up In ‘Summer House’?

You know, one thing you gotta give Carl Radke credit for: He’s not giving up on love. After his big breakup with Lindsay Hubbard last year, Carl’s talking a lot about his “celibacy” this season and he’s clearly on the prowl. Low-key… he’s been sniffing around the titular summer house in search of a new GF. No, he’s not begging Lindsay to come back (although he does seem to have some feelings about her moving on). This time, Carl is seemingly interested in Ciara Miller.

If you thought Carl was firmly in the friend zone with Ciara, you wouldn’t be alone. Sure, they hit it off when she first joined Summer House in season 5 and even made out at that one party. Then Carl had his whole thing with Lindsay, and Ciara was busy with West Wilson. But, both Carl and Ciara are single now, and as the Summer House season 9 sneak peek revealed, Carl confessed he has a crush on Ciara. Duh.

Now that we’re right smack dab in the middle of season 9, it’s time to do some digging to see if anything comes of it. After all, Carl has been infamously unemployed for, like, ever, and now he’s got a new business going with Soft Bar. So maybe that means he can jump start his love life, too? Let’s discuss whether or not Carl and Ciara actually hook up in Summer House.

Do Carl and Ciara hook up on Summer House?

In his post-Lindsay life, Carl seems to be figuring himself out and he leaned on Ciara for comfort. He told Us Weekly, “I felt just really safe with her.” He also explained that all that support led to him catching feelings.

“This past summer, I was just enjoying her friendship and having fun. Of course, she’s beautiful, you know that,” Carl said. “I couldn’t help myself but express [that] in a fun way.”

Not exactly sure what he means by “a fun way,” because he also admitted to Us Weekly that his little crush confession was “cringey.”

Ciara apparently fully felt the cringe when she reacted. “I love Carl, but I was not expecting that, but I get it,” she told Us Weekly.

Kind of seems like Ciara gave that a pass… Carl also said: “I had to let her know, I was just like, ‘I think you’re awesome. I really appreciate you. I do have a crush. I knew she was going to be like, ‘OK.'” At least he was prepared.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how it all plays out in Summer House to find out if Carl and Ciara hook up. But, FWIW, Carl did post an Instagram on April 23 featuring a photo with Ciara. He captioned it, “Ciara liked my outfit,” so he might still be crushing hard.
