While I’m a little distracted by the number of hot dogs and tequila shots I’m planning to make disappear on the 4th of July, I’m also hungry for updates on who is returning to season 9 of Summer House. This is easily the most anticipated season to date considering everyone wants to know how Lindsay and Carl are going to handle living together as exes and if Amanda and Kyle are going to become exes after one of their worst summer yet. Though the cast is probably still recovering from the too-intense season 8 reunion (even Andy Cohen took more than a little heat for that mess), it’s already time to start filming again for season 9. Who is returning and which newbies are willing to throw their floaties in the pool now that Danielle Olivera’s exit has made some space? Here are all the latest updates for the Summer House season 9 cast.
Former boy with no job, Carl Radke, has made a surprising decision to return to Summer House. I mean, it’s not surprising in that the reunion made it quite clear (despite Carl not thinking influencing is a job) that his role on the show and all the sponcon that comes with it is Carl’s main source of income. Still, it’s a wee bit surprising because Carl is sober from alcohol and is voluntarily returning to a gig where the MO is pretty much blacking out all summer by definition. I’m so game for a sober housemate, as long as they bring the drama in other ways, and with Lindsay cut off and Carl’s whole zen-or-else vibe these days, it’s unclear how he’ll do that.

Oh, Lindsay Dale Hubbard, they could never make me hate you. Thank God the activated queen of Summer House is also set to return for season 9 despite her brutal go at the reunion because every Bravo series needs a strongest soldier who is willing to pop off and bare it all (outside of the comfort of their bedroom). Historically, that has always been this girl right here. The question is: will her new man, who has never seen the show, make an appearance? Selfishly, one can hope.
Okay so this one isn’t officially confirmed in the press, but Kyle commented on Danielle Olivera’s departure announcement “Love you D! I know this isn’t goodbye but it’s still sad that it’s official. Best see you soon! xoxo.” That would be a pretty presumptuous statement to write if he wasn’t 99% sure he would be coming back to reign terror in the Hamptons. On the other hand, someone who unironically wore a mullet for a year is deffo willing to take some ill-advised big swings so… maybe there’s a chance he’ll pursue DJing full-time?
