Welp, The White Lotus season 3 episode 5 was… certainly a journey. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a touch traumatized. Sam Rockwell appeared out of nowhere to give the most unhinged speech of the series so far, and the Ratliff brothers got themselves in, um, a very sticky situation. Plus, certain flings finally came to fruition (so happy for my girl, Belinda). Honestly, thank god we have a week until the next episode drops, ’cause I definitely need some time to process this one. You really never know who’s gonna show up in this season of The White Lotus. In the latest episode, Sam Rockwell (who is Leslie Bibb’s BF!) makes a surprise appearance as a truly bizarre character named Frank. Frank is an old friend of Rick’s, and they meet up so he can give Rick a gun. But during their meeting, Sam delivers the wildest monologue I’ve ever heard in my life. He yaps about how he came to Thailand to have sex with thousands of Asian girls and calls some of them “ladyboys.” Then, he starts asking himself if his desire to have sex with Asian girls was really a desire to fuck himself (??). “Inside, could I be an Asian girl?” Frank wonders out loud. Rick’s subtle shock and soft “mmhmms” are hilarious.

Oy. So in episode 4, Saxon, Lochlan, Chelsea, and Chloe were headed to an island for a Full Moon Party. In episode 5, they pop some pills and shit gets crazy. Basically, they play a weird kissing game that leads to the incest the show has been hinting at all season. Chelsea and Chloe make out, then Chloe and Lochlan make out, and then Lochlan gives Saxon a peck… before going for a more full-on makeout. Saxon looks kind of shocked and Lochlan grins.

I fear that kiss was just a preview of what was to come. In episode 6, flashbacks reveal that in addition to the kiss, Lochlan jerked his brother off while having sex with Chloe. So yeah, it’s safe to say the Ratliff brothers’ sibling relationship is fucked for life.

Needless to say, this announcement doesn’t go over well with our accent and Lorezapam queen, Victoria. “So you’re just going to move to Taiwan for a year?” Victoria replies. Girl, you don’t even know what country you’re in?? Timothy doesn’t really GAF ’cause he’s much more focused on his own drama and whether or not life is still worth living. (He writes a suicide note and gets close to shooting himself, but doesn’t.)

The White Lotus Season 3 Episode 5: Jaclyn And Valentin, Belinda And Pornchai

To absolutely no one’s surprise, Jaclyn gets messy this episode and winds up cheating on her husband and spending the night with Valentin (who she knows Laurie wants). This happens after the toxic blondie crew goes clubbing with Val and his buddies. Jaclyn and Laurie invite the boys back to their suite after, and it seems like a sex party is about to happen, but Kate is pissed as hell and shuts it down.

More importantly (to me)… After several episodes of romantic tension building, Belinda and Pornchai finally ~connect~. Belinda’s super freaked out by the Greg of it all, plus there’s a fucking lizard making scary noises in her room. So, she asks Pornchai to stay the night. “This is consent, if that is … Do you guys do that here?” she asks. “We just started.” I adore them.
