Welp, our burning White Lotus season 3 questions were mostly answered in the finale episode, “Amor Fati.” (But I still wanna know why TF Kate and Victoria know each other!) Between the incest, Frank’s monologue about identifying as an Asian girl, and Rick setting free venomous snakes, the Thailand ~wellness retreat for the mind and body~ season was quite a journey. After getting to know this group of eccentric characters and analyzing possible foreshadowing moments, I had a few different theories about who might die at the end, and I was low-key kinda close. So, who ultimately died in The White Lotus season 3? Let’s recap.

The White Lotus Season 3: Who Gets Shot?

RIP, Chelsea, Rick, and Rick’s father, Jim. I fear Rick’s mission to get revenge led to his own demise. In the finale, he steals Jim’s gun and shoots him moments before finding out that Jim is actually his father — not the man who killed his father. After Rick kills Jim, Chelsea dies in a shoot out with Sritala’s guards. Rick starts to carry her away, but Gaitok toughens up for the first time all season and kills Rick.

Also, Lochlan, uh, died and then magically came back to life. I’m counting that as a half death. Like, the dude saw God and everything, and then he was just resurrected despite not even being in a hospital. He unknowingly made a protein shake with the poisonous seeds his dad left in the blender (after Timmy chickened out and didn’t kill himself/the rest of the fam). We all thought the younger Ratliff boy was a goner, but sure enough, he eventually opened his eyes and walked outta there just fine. Believable? No. Powerful? Sure.

Fans Will Protest If Belinda Dies

Ugh, Belinda is honestly a possibility. After all, Zion said she was out there when the shooting happened, and also… When Jennifer Coolidge returned for a second season, she was killed off. (Natasha Rothwell starred in the first season, too.) Not to mention, Charlotte Le Bon recently teased, “People are going to hate Mike White” after the finale, and Belinda is a fan-favorite character. But perhaps Belinda’s too obvious since Zion said she was there and said a prayer for her.

Chelsea Seems Kinda Doomed

When Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) is yapping at her old, possibly violent BF, Rick (Walton Goggins), she specifically says: “I’m going to help you get your joy back — even if it kills me.” I thought that was an interesting choice of words. Perhaps it was foreshadowing… Plus, everyone would also be devastated and angry at Mike if she died. A Reddit user pointed out, “Chelsea was quite literally snakebit – an idiom that means doomed to misfortune.'”

Lochlan Is The Floating Body In The Credits

In the opening credits, they show Sam Nivola’s name next to a dead-looking guy. He plays Lochlan, so perhaps that’s a clue about that character? There are also lots of animals attacking humans and a catastrophic situation on a boat in the credits, and I’m guessing all these images are intentional and tease what’s to come somehow. This one just seems a little too unsurprising, IDK.

Timmy Ratliff Kills His Fam With Poisonous Smoothies

Perhaps someone actually dies from poisonous fruit rather than a gunshot. That would make sense with the religious theme! In the very first episode, there’s a Chekhov’s gun moment when Saxon picks up a piece of fruit, and Pam warns him: “I wouldn’t eat that. That’s the fruit of the mighty pong pong tree and the seeds of the fruit are toxic.” Throughout the entire season, Saxon’s constantly using a blender to make his dumbass protein shakes. Since Timmy wants to kill himself and his fam but doesn’t have the gun anymore, he might throw some of the poisonous fruit into the blender and offer them smoothies.

Kate Goes Rogue And Kills Her Frenemies

The girls’ trip is the best part of this season (much like Jennifer Coolidge was the best part of season 2). But the girlies also aren’t the main focus, so one of them dying wouldn’t be super predictable. We already know that Kate is a Texan MAGA lady, which leads me to believe she’s probably a gun owner and knows how to use one. Maybe she gets hold of a gun, loses her shit, and shoots her “besties” after yet another argument. I just feel like she has a lot of rage, LOL.
