The internet scandal of the week involves Grant Gibbs from dynamic TikTok duo A Twink and a Redhead and…. Crumbl Cookies Co-founder Sawyer Hemsley? There’s never a boring day on TikTok, for real.

It all started when Grant made an extremely random, extremely unserious video speculating about Sawyer’s sexuality. The creator shared his reaction to watching a video of Sawyer and learning that he’s “apparently a straight man.” (Needless to say, Grant had doubts about that.) Unfortunately for Sawyer, Grant’s video blew the fuck up — it now has nearly 18 million views and more than 1.5 million likes. Shortly after Grant posted his TikTok and it went viral, the Crumbl Cookies Chief Branding Officer shared a lengthy, vulnerable coming-out statement on his socials, and Grant has now responded. If you’re trying to catch up on all the details of this saga, I got you: Here’s a full breakdown of how Grant Gibbs may have accidentally outed the Crumbl Cookies Co-founder.

Crumbl Cookies Co-Founder Comes Out As Gay: Did Grant From A Twink And Redhead Out Him?

How Did Grant Gibbs From A Twink And A Redhead Out The Crumbl Cookies Co-Founder?

In his original TikTok, Grant went on a rant, speculating about Sawyer’s sexuality. “That man is so gay,” the influencer declared. “That man is gay to the gods. There’s a genetic component to sexuality, mama, and let’s just say, he has the gene and there’s no denying evolution, babe.”

Grant didn’t seem too pressed about the potential consequences of the video. “I’ll say it to his face!” he exclaimed. “I don’t care if I’m outing a CEO with millions of dollars. I don’t give a fuck.”

Sawyer Hemsley, Crumbl Cookies C0-Founder, Shares Statement Coming Out

In response to Grant’s viral video, Sawyer posted a lengthy statement on his IG. “Over the past little while, there have been people online trying to define me, twist things, and share conversations in ways that feel harmful. Instead of letting others write my story, I want to share it in my own words.”

He went on to say it took him the last few years to “understand and accept” that he’s gay. “For most of my life, I didn’t have the clarity to answer the questions or respond to the rumors. Coming to terms with it has been overwhelming and, at times, scary — but it has also brought me peace, joy, and authenticity that I wouldn’t trade for anything.”

Raised Mormon, the Crumbl co-founder said he “grew up with values and beliefs that I still deeply love and respect, which made this journey more complicated.” However, his hope is that “kindness, empathy, and love will lead the way.”

Grant Gibbs’ Response To Crumbl Cookies Co-Founder Coming Out

After Sawyer came out, Grant followed up with a pseudo apology on TikTok. “This was not my intention to ever out somebody in this way, but girl, I am so happy for you and so proud of you,” he said in the new video. “You are hot and you are going to live your best open, out, gay life, mama.”

He called Sawyer “chiseled” and pointed out that the Crumbl co-founder will probably be “fine” since he has “money, beautiful homes, and beautiful clothes.” Still, the TikTok star admitted, “I did not mean for this to happen the way it did.”

“I’m genuinely sorry I clocked your tea in such a massive way, but I am really happy and proud of you sister,” Grant quipped in his caption.
