When you have kids, sometimes things we enjoy can take a backburner — things like bathing, sleeping — yes, even sex. But I get it: You’re tired, you have a million things to do, and you have these little humans totally dependent on you. Sometimes, it’s just hard to fit sex in. After a day of picking up after screaming kids (and sometimes our partners, too), I would desperately need some relaxation, too. And what is the best way to relieve tension? Hello, having some wonderful, mind-blowing sex.
I know, I know. “But I’m a mom.” You have kids to care for and can’t just blow them off for an evening to go to a hotel room and get off. And if you wanted to do it at home, you don’t have the time to pull out all the stops because a child is bound to come knocking any minute. This, my friend, calls for a quickie.
Now, if you’re really not in the mood for sex, just don’t have any! There is nothing wrong with just not being in the mood. But if you’re a mother who feels horny all the time but can’t find the time to really get laid, I want you to make the quickie your best friend.
The “quickie” is an art form that I will help you master. Here are some sex positions for quickies when you have to plan sex around how long you can distract your kid(s).
Have your partner sit on a chair, face them, and lower yourself onto them. It’s quick, it’s efficient, and you’re face-to-face, so you get to feel intimate, too — even if it’s only for a few minutes.
This is basically the Tantra Chair, except you’re facing away from your partner, and this one is a lot more comfortable (hence the name). Have them sit down with their legs spread apart, and then just sit your butt back onto their lap. This can be done on a chair or a bed.
Get up on either a table or a high bed and lay back. Have your partner enter from in front of you and hold your knees against their chest. They can use their hands to play with your body and help you get off quicker.
Ideal for ~tight spaces,~ the Lotus is great choice if you’re forced to sneak off to the garage for a quickie. (Plus, you get to sit down for it.) With your partner seated, get on top with your legs wrapped around their waist and simply grind away.
And, of course, a fan favorite. If doing doggy in bed might take too much time, bend over a table or chair and go at it. And the best part is you don’t have to take your clothes off.
